Neglected Lil Blog

I've neglected my little blog lately. Not intentionally, but there has been a lot going on in the Turner household. Within the past month we went on a mini-vacation, my Uncle Edward suddenly passed away of a heart attack, work, work, work, softball tryouts, Cory's Aunt Lee passed away from Breast Cancer..... there are so many things that have gone on in the past month. (I won't bore you with them all nor will I post anything that anyone would think was about them) So needless to say I have good reason to neglect my little blog but I promise I'm going to try harder to keep it up.

We stay busy around this house and its only going to get worse. Softball starts practices start tomorrow!!!! Why yes I'm super excited about this. The only thing better then UGA Football and the Atlanta Braves Baseball is watching my girls do sports. So let the games begin!!!!

The weight loss has slowed a little bit but what do you expect when you are on the road all the time. I've lost a total of 8 lbs which I'm more then ok with. I started walking with my neighbor yesterday and then walked by myself today.. 4 miles  in 2 days isn't as bad or painful as I figured it'd be. (though I think my poor knee would beg to differ, but I keep walking).

I have also made my dishwasher soap, dryer sheets, and laundry detergent. Thanks to a wonderful friend of mine and her recipe sharing (you can find it on her blog http://crafty-catholic-army-momma.blogspot.com/).

So this isn't much of an update but it's a little to go on for now. I promise that in between work, workouts, softball and all else I will keep this thing updated a little more. Until then, this tired moma is heading to hit the pillows.

We took our girls and Cory's niece to Amicalola Falls State Park

RIP Uncle Edward and Aunt Lee

The Weight Loss Fight

This is a tough subject for me, something I never talk about. But, its a new year full of new beginnings and changes. So.....

Its a fight I've been fighting for a looooong time. When Cory and I were dating, way back in the day, I did Weight Watchers. I lost 36 pounds. I was a size 8/10. The smallest I think I have ever been. then something happened that they don't warn you about. (which you ladies should know right off) I dropped all the weight and got pregnant. (apparently losing weight increases other things in your body, which made me more apt to getting preggo... don't ask me how this works its just what I got from my doc) Even after I was told I had poly-cystic ovaries and there was a chance I wouldn't be able to have kids at all. (boy did I prove them wrong.) So anyways, I now have 3 kids and 60 pounds extra to prove that I had those kids.

So 2 weeks ago I came to the conclusion that something  has got to change  is going to change. I turn 30 this December. OMG I'm going to be 30. So upon that realization I decided I am going to bust ass to make that extra 60 pounds go away. I've recruited my BCF, Deborah, and my moma, Teresa, on this little journey. Deb and I have dubbed it the Project Drop It. We have until December 21, 2012 (my 30th b-day)to complete this project. So far I'm down 5 pounds. I am going to make this happen. This is part of my Big Changes for 2012.

Wish us luck, I'm sure we're going to need it!

The Blog World

It appears I've been sucked into the blog world. I've always been skeptical about this little giant world of bloggers. I have looked at numerous blogs over the years and gotten many ideas of things to do from them, which I greatly appreciate. So I'm now joining you all in this blog world.

Let me introduce myself. My name is Lauren, I'm 29, and I live in Georgia with my wonderful little family. I'm married to Cory, we've been together for almost 9 years and married for 7.5. God has blessed us with 3 beautiful girls. Bailey is about to be 7, Kaydence and Kenzie are about to be 5. We have 2 fur babies, Sophia our boxer, and Truckee our cat. I was born and raised in GA and wouldn't trade it for anything. I'm southern through and through. Love me some sweet tea, GA Bulldogs football, photography, baking, sewing, traveling, and sitting at the fields watching my girls play ball and cheer.

I cuss a bit, I sing too loud, and I dance like a fool (even when people are looking)... I am the best mom, wife, daughter, sister, and friend I can be. I love my life, craziness and all!

Now let the blogging adventure begin! :)
